Meeting Cost is a real-time analytics extension for Microsoft Teams designed to quantify the true cost of meetings. It empowers organizations to reduce unproductive meetings, optimize team time, and drive a culture of cost awareness through live data and post-meeting insights.
In today's remote and hybrid work culture, excessive and unproductive meetings have become a silent productivity killer. To address this, we designed and developed the Meeting Cost extension—a seamless Microsoft Teams integration that calculates real-time meeting expenses based on attendee salaries, duration, and participation.
The solution includes features like chatbot notifications, live salary prompts, timestamped attendance tracking, and post-meeting analytics dashboards. Teams can now visualize the cost of every meeting and make smarter decisions. Our beta rollout demonstrated measurable impact: a 39% drop in unnecessary meetings, 27% more productive work hours, and a 22% boost in cost awareness.
